  • Mermay – The deep friend

Mermay is coming to an end, so this is my last minute submission to an overall quite pleasant event.

    Starry
Crown has a secret. She knows a spell that no other seapony knows. She
learned it by listening to the songs of the deep sea, but she’s afraid
to tell the others, for they would find it quite silly to hear voices
from the abysses. There is no pony there !

    They
are right. But when she cast the magic spell, when she chant it in this
old and forgotten tongue, then a beautiful orb of light appears. And when she goes to the verge of the deep seas, near the precipice, then it appears. Massive, scaly and strong tentacles emerge from the darkness, attracted by the strange light of the Orb. At first it seems scary, but she knows it is quite playful, tender and funny.

That is Starry’s friend from the deep. Remember : it’s a secret !

  • Bakeneko

The sword is just lying there, on the table.

    You
want it. You know all about its exquisite craftsmanship, sturdiness and
magic nature just by the way it looks. You can already imagine its
weight in you hand, and feel the faint aura of consciousness emanating
from it.What you can’t figure out is the two-tailed cat. You
know he (or she ?) only pretend to not noticing you by looking intensely
at the sword too. Magical, creature, surely. Maybe ethereal, maybe a
manifestation of the sword ? You fail to guess any intents or motives
    from it.
    Will you dare ?

  • Orient-Express – Heated discussion in Paris

Paris, a café near the National Library, 1923, January the 15th,

    Choura
was extremely nervous. This café was a gathering point for socialists
wannabe and left-wing extremists. Not the kind of place you expect to
visit when you are from Russian nobility. He took a glance at Carl,
which was quietly drawing on the small and crowded table. Several people
of the café were looking at him go, steadily outlining the various
monument of Paris on his sketchbook with a precision that only
    architects could have had.
    The real center of attention
was Cihat, which was engaged in an oratory duel with some agitated young
men in a very heated discussion about the importance of a central
figure of authority in an ideal government. The young turk was brilliant,
methodically disconstructing his opponent argument one after the other.
His passionated voice were captivating the audience which was listening
closely an epic verbal joute. Henry unsuccessfully tried to stop them.
They had very pressing matters at hand and a lot of research to do. This
was no time to convert a gathering of socialists  into a pro-authoritarian aficionados of the old Ottoman empire !

Excerpt from an ongoing run of the “Terror on the Orient-Express” Campaign of Call of Cthulhu RPG

Since I’m mastering a run of the “Terror on the Orient-Express” Campaign, might as well learn how to draw trains.Last session went well, the PC managed to rescue a fellow PC and themselves from a ghost train lost among strange mists. And destroying a valuable 1880s locomotive as the one drawn here.

  • The Reaper’s Apprentice

It was not the best job of the world, nor the most paid. He have to
walk around a lot, wear old-fashioned uniform and handle heavy tools
all day long. The worst was the customers, always complaining, never
satisfied… He took pride in a job well done and these reclamations
were hurting his pride a lot.

  • A dragon ate the storyteller

The previous version of my poster made for a french storytelling festival was too childish.

So In this one, I like to think the dragon ate the storyteller and is happily digesting it.

  • Dragon Fire

    Breathing fire, living fire,
    Blazing wrath so dire,
    Scorching earth with its ire,
    Setting the world on fire.

  • Animals

I took a stroll to the zoo one hot day of May,
To watch many wonders and gorgeous beasts,
It was hot, it was damp, but my, what a feast !
Then rain fell off, and all scents exploded, yay !
Birds shouting and plants dangling to the raindrops,
As if now I was in a deep jungle just dropped,
So here’s a little study, of various bits and parts,
Of beautiful caged beasts, which i saw with my hearth.

  • Storytelling

To tell the tales, giving it life and captivate the audience… that is the art of storytelling.
Roleplaying and drawing are my ways of doing it, but there is so much more ways to perpetuate the ancestral art of fiction !I don’t want to analyze it too much, for it strips the tales of their magic.
Just..Just live the instant, be in the story and smile like a fool ^^
