Hurt
A new leg the spirit has found,
Strong, clawed and furry,
The wolf licks his wounds,
Where his used to be

The battle lasted until morning
Blood and guts dripping abundantly
Barely breathing, barely living
The wolf lost, the spirits has victory

Don’t the wolf knows that spirits never sleeps ?
It will soon learn the consequences of its deeds
That there is an unwritten law, harsh and dread
Moonlight gives power to the undeads

Its leg’s missing, stolen by the wolf.
The culprit left traces on the ground
Delicate small prints, hard to follow,
Relentless, the spirit search for its bones.

A slice of life.
With this one, Inktober is finally over ! I liked this challenge, it’s quite fun to see what fellows artists came with on a given subject. Adding a theme to the original list was a good idea and forced me to me more creative. Maybe next year I’ll choose a lighter theme, ‘though…
So, what do you think of my inks ? Should I do more or should I go back to pencils ?

Jack o Lantern is such a known figure nowadays.
I read somewhere it was originally a turnip and not a pumpkin he used for holding the ardent coal that was given to him.
See ? No bones. So far, so good.

The rabbit fled, quickly,
No time to understand,
Unable to react,
Suddenly, an attack.

Silently, closing in, a silhouette
Step by step, approaching
The spirit is watching,
The rabbit, sleeping.
