Jack o Lantern
Jack o Lantern is such a known figure nowadays.
I read somewhere it was originally a turnip and not a pumpkin he used for holding the ardent coal that was given to him.
See ? No bones. So far, so good.

The rabbit fled, quickly,
No time to understand,
Unable to react,
Suddenly, an attack.

Silently, closing in, a silhouette
Step by step, approaching
The spirit is watching,
The rabbit, sleeping.

Nervous, uneasy… The tight grip on their saber did help a little. The wind was strong, salty, corrosive. It smells. a lot. And yet, them would not change their place for anything.

It is morning, two silhouettes hops in the fields.
The rabbit cannot jump as high as the spirit.
Each gust of wind throws it higher and higher.
As if wind itself was a spirit too. Maybe it is.

The rabbit smelled the bones for a while, but couldn’t sense any danger.
The spirit does not answer, it just nodded and walked away.

I really like this creature. I think I’m gonna make a series of it, the polls have spoken.
