  • The stray cat and the sentient rock – 2

    The cat came back, thirsty.
He sniffed for a while the rock, cautious, jumping away a few times when it blinked again. The rock keep gazing intensely at him, following every movement, trying to guess where and when this furry visitor will return in its field of vision.

After many circling around, the cat decided it was no threat. And took a nap on top of it.
The afternoon was warm, only grazed by a gentle breeze. A gentle purr could be heard through the woods, echoing with the sporadic buzzing of the mountains bees.

  • Roaming Ghoul

“It was not any mere artist’s interpretation that we saw; it was pandemonium itself, crystal clear in stark objectivity. That was it, by heaven! The man was not a fantaisiste or romanticist at all—he did not even try to give us the churning, prismatic ephemera of dreams, but coldly and sardonically reflected some stable, mechanistic, and well-established horror-world which he saw fully, brilliantly, squarely, and unfalteringly. God knows what that world can have been, or where he ever glimpsed the blasphemous shapes that loped and trotted and crawled through it; but whatever the baffling source of his images, one thing was plain. Pickman was in every sense—in conception and in execution—a thorough, painstaking, and almost scientific realist.”

  • Slayer’s Tom Araya

I’m more a Metallica fan if I had to chose one of the big four.
But I like Tom’s look and.. dunno… feels like doing a portrait.
A very hard challenge for me for I can’t usually remember faces.
