  • Null Pull

    It looks like those pillars are defying gravity.
    But
    here at the Thaumic Core, there’s no gravity to defy. It’s true,
    gravitosnakes can reshape physics to their will. That’s why we harvest
    them. But their wills are only chaotic impulses. And as the result of
    blending all the colors is an unsaturated brownish goo, the result of
    blending all the vectors of their power is a null pull.

    A première vue, les piliers semblent défier la gravité.
    Mais
    ici, au Coeur Thaumique, il n’y a pas de gravité à défier. C’est vrai,
    les gravitoserpents peuvent altérer les lois de la physique, c’est
    d’ailleurs pourquoi on les récolte. Mais s’ils ont une volonté, elle
    n’est que pures impulsions chaotiques. Et de même que mélanger toutes
    les couleurs d’une palette produit un brun informe et désaturé, Le
    vecteur résultant de tous leur pouvoir cumulés ne donne qu’une force
    nulle.

    – Careful observation, reasonable skepticism, formulating hypotheses and only then confronting them and testing them with rigorous experimentation.
    – Sounds complicated. And then you’re done ?
    – No, then you repeat.
    – Until when?
    – You never really stop. Everything can and must be reexamined to the light of new facts.
    – Hum… Ok, I get it.
